CBS orders FanFare laffer
CBS has ordered a comedy script from Sony Pictures Television and Jamie Tarses' shingle FanFare Prods. Tarses will executive produce with Jeff Rake ("Miss Match"), who will write the script. Story centers on a well-intentioned family man struggling with being the perfect dad while his perfect dad lives under his roof. Rake last teamed up with FanFare last development season on a comedy script sold to ABC that had Nicole Richie attached, but the network ultimately passed. FanFare already has an iron in the development fire over at ABC with comedy "BAMFs," which Tarses would produce with writer Leah Rachel. CBS declined comment.
