Live action Akira remake will get the proceed
In the end time of whispers it appears the live-action remake of anime smash Akira is finally obtaining the proceed, with Warner Bros. backing the project.Individuals who've wished for any large Hollywood reimagining from the dayglo realm of Neo-Tokyo, japan have recently got their wish.Well, kind of. It appears the studio is setting your budget around $90m, which (it may sound crazy to express) is modest by present day standards. The spanish language director Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, Unknown) will require the helm on the shoot that's likely to begin in Feb or March 2012.Warner Bros. and Collet-Serra have apparently already made the decision their first casting choice: Tron Legacy's Garrett Hedlund. Both of them are stated to become "keen" on him along with the movie now greenlit be prepared to sign him up.There is no word which of these two male leads he'd play yet - biker Kaneda or uncle Tetsuo. However, if Warner Bros. is picking Hedlund for that role of Kaneda (once we suspect it's), TF's casting option for Tetsuo is between Anton Yelchin or Ezra Burns. Discuss.
